Madura is the relatively small island to the north of Surabaya. Its culture and people are delightful and interesting, especially the bull races. An island less visited by the normal tourist, it is well worth visiting if you get the chance.

There are so many places throughout the archipelago that afford incredible diving on pristine coral reefs as well as sunken wrecks. Of course there are some areas in Indonesia where the seasons will affect the visibility when you dive. Storms tend to reduce visibility.
