I am a Malaysian.I visited Palembang in August 2007. The city is very clean and the air free from pollution. The traffic is also not too congested. I also had the opportunity of performing my prayers in some of your mosques including the Grand mosque. Very convenient. Congratulations Sumsel!
My only regret is that I could not find any T-shirts with any design of Palembang’s historical or tourist sites e.g AMPERA.I also could not find any miniature of boats plying the great Musi River at any souvenir shops. Since I hate photographing I normally buy souvenir items to remember my visit to any country or foreign city. Other than that my visit to your city has been successful.
