Denpasar Food Heritage Festival: Denpasar, Bali

The Denpasar city administration is organizing a two-day food festival in a bid to empower small businesses as well as preserve culinary traditions. The Denpasar Food Heritage Festival will be held on Dec. 29-30 in front of Inna Bali hotel on Jl. Veteran.

Organizers have prepared 20 stalls offering 60 different types of traditional food and beverages. The festival will be opened by Denpasar Mayor A.A. Puspayoga, who will also launch a new tourism program called Sightseeing Denpasar 2008 according to an article in the Jakarta Post.

The program will take tourists visiting Bali, especially the capital, on sightseeing tours to several spots in the city, including temples, museums, traditional markets and bird markets.
