Alert Raised for Possible Eruption of Mount Kelud: Kediri, East Java

An alert has been raised for Mount Kelud in East Java, to its highest since the last eruption in 1990, amid signs that it may erupt. The 1,731-meter volcano has emitted more than 300 metric tons of carbon dioxide a day in the past few days, or, triple the normal measure. The volcano has been closed to tourists.
