Losmens and smaller hotels dominate the accommodation scene on the island rather than top-class hotels and resorts unlike on the neighbouring islands of Lombok and Bali. However, there are some good value places around.

Good accommodation in Sumbawa is at a premium and so check around different places before you lock into one certain hotel. Check for security, cleanliness and always bargain the price.
