With the thought of educational internet access for all regions in Indonesia by 2009 one can only imagine that the government intends on spending big bucks or should I say, Rupiah. Could this mean the end of sleazy internet cafes in back streets where a lot of Indonesians check out sites of an unsavoury nature? I doubt it. However, the Information and Communication Minister M. Nuh has promised that Internet access will be ready to be enjoyed by all the general public by the first quarter of 2009. Great step forward for the Government but will the application of such a massive task be successful?
